Florida meets New Orleans with our own Timoti’s Cajun Seasoning Blend, complimented by the flavors of garlic and spices. There is no better time to spend time in the great outdoors enjoying fresh air, wafting with the smell of freshly seasoned wild-caught shrimp. With May named National BBQ Month, Timoti’s is celebrating by offering up a delicious twist on a classic recipe.

We believe that wild-caught, sustainable seafood is simply better. Naturally occurring seafood provides more health benefits, including more calcium and iron than farm-raised friends. Wild-caught seafood also has less contamination than farm-raised, and contains high amounts of protein and is enjoyed daily by our patrons in our Fernandina Beach and Nocatee Timoti’s restaurant locations.

Our “secret blend” of Cajun seasoning contains spices of garlic, salt, cayenne pepper and paprika. The spice is now available at all of our Timoti’s locations for $5.99 for 5 oz.

Grilled BBQ Cajun Shrimp

Ingredients

  • I cup unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic chopped

  • 1 tomato chopped finely but without seeds or juices

  • 1 lemon juiced

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1-2 teaspoons Timoti’s Cajun seasoning

  • 1 ½ pounds wild-caught shrimp peeled and deveined

  • Parsley chopped for garnish

Directions

  1. Add butter to the ban on medium-low heat with garlic, tomatoes, lemon, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves and Timoti’s Cajun seasoning and let it melt together on low heat for 5-7 minutes while the tomatoes melt. (Cooking the butter slowly allows the spices to really flavor the butter).

  2. Remove the bay leaf.

  3. When the juice of the tomatoes seems to have evaporated, you’re ready to add the wild-caught shrimp.

  4. Raise the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the pan, cooking 1-2 minutes on each side.

  5. Serve with additional lemon wedges, parsley and bread if desired.
