Treasure of the Month — For Over 50 Years!

Shiver me timbers! We’ve found a real catch for Amelia Island locals. You may have seen or heard of the legendary swashbucklers at the Fernandina Pirates Club. If not, you’re in to discover some real gold!

The Pirates Club charts new courses for success and is right on deck.  Founded in October 1973, this volunteer-based krewe continues to blend the adventurous spirit of Amelia Island’s rich pirate history with a deep-seated commitment to community service. The krewe has planned countless fundraisers and given back to both the local community and global advocacy movements for decades. What a catch!

The Rumors Are True: The Pirates Club Is Real Treasure

Don’t be a landlubber, community service is the gold hidden in the deep blue sea! The Fernandina Pirates dedicates its platform to benefiting all individuals in need, including children, the elderly, and those with terminal illnesses. Funding annual high school, college, and military-bound scholarships in the area is also ranked high on the treasure map.

Even in areas outside of Amelia Island, you can catch the krewe at events like Yulee Christmas, St. Mary's Mardi Gras, St. Augustine Easter, and the annual Jacksonville Opening of the Beaches. It’s a year-round party with these pirates!

Making Waves And Taking Names

The Fernandina Pirates Club is consistently seeking new crew members to help seas the day!

Joining the krewe at the Pirates Club is a perfect opportunity for residents in the Fernandina Beach area to show up for the beautiful place that they call home. Location and community mean everything to the krewe. Partnering with local businesses and interacting with purpose-driven individuals is the gold that the krewe continues to seek.

The Pirates Club isn’t all about work. In fact, you’re invited to unwind and grab a drink! Or two! You won't want to miss the krewe’s monthly gatherings at The Surf Restaurant & Bar! Every third Wednesday at 7 pm, Pirates are encouraged to attend these monthly gatherings to chat casually with the krewe and address any questions or concerns that may arise. It’s all hands on deck here at the Pirates Club, no mate left behind!

Feeling “pier pressured” yet? We hope you are! Join the Fernandina Beach Pirates Club and immerse yourself in an opportunity to give back to the community and release your piratical spirit. The application process to become a Pirate can be found at Fernandina Pirates Club under the Fernandina Pirates Club Membership tab.
