Once the lights are all put away and the shrimp has been dropped, it’s time for our favorite week of the year—Amelia Island Restaurant Week! Beginning on the third Friday in January, over two dozen beloved Fernandina Beach restaurants will team up with the Amelia Island Tourist Development Council (who also run Dickens on Centre and the Island Hop Craft Beer Fest) to serve delectable dishes at discounted prices.

It’s the perfect opportunity for locals to enjoy the work of the incredible chefs and artists who call Amelia Island home.

With so many varied cuisines to choose from—lunch at Hofbrau Amelia to dinner at Baba’s Mediterranean—the whole week can seem overwhelming. That’s why we’re going to break down some of our favorite hits for the week. Check it out and let us know which restaurants are on your list!

Quick Hits for Lunch

Dinner is typically the star of the show during Restaurant Week, but there are some seriously delicious deals to be had between the hours of 11AM and 2PM.

Local favorite the Salty Pelican Bar & Grill is getting in the fun with their Surf & Turf Tacos ($15 per person). We may know how to make a darn good shrimp taco at Timoti’s, but we can’t say we’ve ever tried adding beef to it!

Most towns won’t include a bookstore on their Restaurant Week menu, but Fernandina Beach is not most towns. Choose from five different entrees, ranging from quiche to chicken salad at Story & Song Bookstore Bistro ($15 per person).

If you can’t wait nine months for Oktoberfest, Hofbrau Amelia has you covered. You’ll think you’ve been transported to München when you take a bite of their bratwurst and wash it down with an authentic German Bier ($15 per person). Keep the party rolling at The Tavern by AIBC and sample their signature Burrata and Roma Salad ($15 per person).

Amazing Dinners on Amelia Island

Skip the grocery store this week, because we’ve got your dinner plans covered from Friday to, well, the next Sunday!

Newcomer to the Amelia Island foodie scene—and our sister restaurant—Baba’s Mediterranean is wasting no time to acquaint itself with the locals. You might have tried their amazing shawarma and gyro pitas, but prepare yourself for their mouthwatering dinner menu. Their Moroccan Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Chicken Caprese and (gluten-free) Braised Lamb Stew will satisfy every taste ($30 per person, including appetizer and dessert).

Of course, it wouldn’t be restaurant week without Café Karibo. A Fernandina Beach mainstay for decades, Café Karibo knows how to roll out the red carpet for restaurant week. Choose between six different entrees, including Shrimp and Grits ($30 per person) and Blackened Mahi ($50 per person). Whatever you choose, complete with appetizer and dessert, you won’t regret it.

Live It Up at the Ritz

Speaking of things you won’t regret, Amelia Island Restaurant Week is the best time to find your way to a pair of incredible restaurants at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

Sample the Local Catch, with appetizer and dessert, at Coast at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island ($50 per person). And anyone with a sweet tooth will need to make a reservation at Tidewater Grill at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia island for their dinner menu capped off with a Chocolate Baileys Cheesecake Tart with Bittersweet Ganache and Raspberry Sauce ($50 per person). Oh. My. Gosh.

Seafood Staples at Timoti’s

If you somehow still have room in your stomach—or just need a break between the decadence—come on down to Timoti’s Seafood Shak where we’re serving up local shrimp and wild-caught seafood every day of the year!
