Amelia Island Hosts a Rare Car Show with a Global Reputation

If you’re planning out your trips for the year, one 2023 event you should add to your list is the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
Drawing in over 300 rare vehicles from collectors around the world, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance returns with its 28th annual year on Thursday, March 2nd through Sunday, March 5th. Thousands of automobile enthusiasts will flock to The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and the Golf Club of Amelia for a celebration of automobiles like no other.
With vintage cars showcased against a stunning backdrop, it’s no wonder this event is among the top automotive events in the world.
Downtown Fernandina Car Display
On Friday, March 3rd, the streets of Fernandina will be filled with stunning collector vehicles. A select variety of Concours d’Elegance automobiles depart from the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island around 8:00 a.m. and cruise around town before arriving along Centre Street by lunch time.
Don’t miss the opportunity to browse the stunning collection of rare vehicles in beautiful downtown Fernandina. This free public display wraps up around 2:00 pm, when the cars depart.
Cars & Caffeine at the Concours
Another event on the schedule is Amelia’s Cars & Caffeine at the Concours. On Saturday, March 4th, owners of vintage, exotic and collectible vehicles will display their prize automobiles at The Golf Club of Amelia Island from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Unlike Sunday’s selective event, Cars & Caffeine features a diverse group of vehicles that celebrate the automotive enthusiast’s spirit. It is part of the Cars & Community event, which includes various activities including the Concours d’Lemons, a fan favorite celebration with over 50 exciting oddball and exceptionally unexceptional cars.
The proud car owners wake up early, shine up their prized wheels and enjoy a day of automotive appreciation over a cup of fresh coffee.
Cars & Caffeine at the Concours is free to spectators, but participants must submit an application with the fee to show a car.
Come enjoy what Sports Car Digest called the "best you'll find anywhere!" Admission is free for children ages 0-12, so bring your kids!
Honoree Dinner at the Amelia Concours
The Amelia also honors a special guest who has been recognized for their achievements in the auto industry. This year’s Honoree of the Amelia is none other than NASCAR Hall of Famer and Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, Jeff Gordon.
From 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday, March 4th, help us celebrate the legendary driver with food stations, cocktails, entertainment, and an in-person interview with Jeff Gordon himself.
Concours d’Elegance Highlights
Catch the main event when the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance hits full swing to celebrate on Sunday, March 8th. Hundreds of rare, seldom-seen collector vehicles will be displayed along the stunning golf course. This carefully curated event features 250 historically significant vehicles within 32 classes vying for various awards and accolades. The entire event is thoughtfully structured to tell an outstanding story of the automotive industry.
With live entertainment and a Kids Zone filled with activities designed for children, everyone is sure to have fun. The Concours d’Elegance kicks off at 9:30 am and runs until 1:00 pm. When you purchase your tickets, you are also automatically granted complimentary admission to Saturday’s Cars & Community event, which includes Cars & Caffeine, RADwood, and more!
